A message from the founder Bruce Czech
I am simplifying my pricing structure and drastically reducing the average fee of an inspection. I am calling this my "I hate marketing, marketing campaign". Why am I doing this: For the home buyer:  Much of the cost of a home inspection is connected to the cost of marketing a typical home inspection company. Also, the home inspection companies that are recommend by friends and the Real Estate community are typically the ones that do the best marketing. I think they should have an opportunity to choose the company that does the best home inspection. The pricing schemes of most home inspection companies is typically quite confusing. I'm going to offer pricing that covers any home from 1-4000 square feet for $250 and condominiums for $199. It is going to be much simpler to chose a home inspector. Same great ASHI compliant inspections and a great new price. For the Realtor: There is an endless procession of home inspectors trying to be noticed by putting on classes, schmoozing, and doing anything they can to "get on the team". There is also an inherent conflict of interest when the home inspector markets to the realtor (who is on commission) but is paid by the home buyer. For the Realtor, there will also be a huge benefit with simplified, reduced pricing. The homebuyer is really going to appreciate being referred to a vendor that provides compelling value. For me the home inspector: The demand for my services fluctuates significantly with the season and state of the economy. Most home inspectors compensate for this by a strong marketing program, overcharging, and strict budgeting. With every busy Real Estate market there is a new crop of home inspectors trying to find a new and rewarding career. With every downturn there is a tug of war for survival. It's essentially a feast or famine business. I have made a decision to do things differently. I hope to forego the expense and aggravation of marketing by the end of the year. I am passing the savings on to the home buyer. I will position my pricing significantly below my competition and offer compelling value. I hope to work a full schedule every week, in good times and in slow times. If you believe in this idea, please support me. This will only work if my schedule is full.
